The Best Apps for Studying

 In Blog

When it comes to studying, staying organized and on-task can be very difficult.  In many cases, our phones are the most common distractions.  Scrolling through our favorite social media apps can be very time consuming.  Before you know it, you have no time left to study.

Although phones may be distracting, they can also be great tools to help with studying.  Today, there are plenty of apps for studying.  Here are some of the best apps that will help you stay on-task and organized.

My Study Life

It’s time to throw away your worn out paper planner.  My Study Life is an amazing app that functions just like a regular planner, but even better!  Unlike the standard paper planners, My Study Life allows you to choose your own layout and add rotating schedules.  So if you have a class every other day, you can customize a Block A or Block B schedule.

My Study Life will also send you reminders of upcoming assignments and classes.  You will also be shown your overdue assignments, as well as what assignments are due at the end of the week.

Evernote

This is a great app when it comes to storing your research and notes.  The best part is that Evernote syncs your computer with your mobile device.  So when you do research and collect new information, you can store it all in one place, and access it from all your electronic devices.

Evernote also has a collaboration feature.  This allows you to collaborate with your group members and share your work with them.

Quizlet

Quizlet is a very popular app used by teachers, and there’s many reasons why.  With all of the features that this app has, you’ll ace your next exam.  Create your own flashcard quiz, as well as study games.  You can also use Quizlet to take plenty of practice tests.  This study app is also the perfect on-the-go tool.
StudyBuddy

Although this app is not for free, it is an extremely helpful study tool.  For just $0.99, this study app will give you a 24-7 buddy that will help you study.  This app will keep you accountable, simply by giving you a breakdown of how much time you are spending studying.  The neat part about this study app is that it reminds you when you’ve taken too long of a break from studying.  You will also receive a chart that tracks how much time you’re spending studying, versus how much time you’re spending on distractions, such as Snapchat and other social media.

SimpleMind

It’s so easy to get lost in a world of scattered thoughts, especially when studying.  This is when SimpleMind comes to the rescue.  This awesome app helps organize your thoughts.  You can create graphic organizers, mind maps, track your ideas, and visualize a method to all of your thoughts.

SimpleMind also allows you to add pictures, videos, or any notes, to your charts.  So, for example, if you’re doing research about the history of the United States, you can add relevant YouTube videos to your charts.  After you have added a few videos, websites, and images from the internet, SimpleMind will then help you connect ideas.

Next time you are studying, don’t let yourself be unorganized and distracted.  Give yourself the tools that you need to succeed.  Keep yourself organized and on-task, simply by downloading these study apps.
